Clintonville is a neighborhood in Columbus and has a storied history. Being settled in the 1800’s by Thomas Bull and his family from Vermont. Noticing they were isolated and not near anyone to help with farming, they offered tradesmen buildings if they would stay close so they had resources to run their farm. These buildings are where N. High Street became a thoroughfare for the community. Clintonville has several very well-known ravines; they are Glen Echo, Walhalla, Overbrook, Beechwold, Delawanda, and Bill Moose Run. The Park of Roses is a huge attraction for the community located in Whetstone Park. A fun fact about Clintonville – Columbus’s first zoo was located in what is now Old Beechwold.
